I've worked hard to reduce the size of my live gear due to playing many shows in different venues. I also ditched the expensive 7 string for a cheap Squire Stagemaster 7 from the early 2000s (anyone remember them?). I know reducing gear isn't a popular topic on RigTalk :P but anyone else simplifying their rigs for live?

Fender Squire Stagemaster w/ Floyd Rose and SD Invaders -> Line6 G55 Wireless -> AxeFX 2 -> Focusrite 18i20 (to FOH) -> Palmer Macht 402 -> Custom 2x12 (V30s) for stage volume.

Keys are the Roland XP-80 with the JV1080 sound expansions etc

The Laptop is running all the MIDI Patch changing for BOTH the keyboard and AxeFX 2. I have a Midi Mouse on the floor as a backup, in case I need to manually patch change.

Bass is direct to a Kemper.

I HATE in-ear mixes so we run wedges. All we get in our in-ears is a click for songs with locked tempo / backing tracks.

Very nice!

Most of my last band had in-ears; but I couldn't do it. Wedge for me. Gotta have the sound swirling around me.

Totally! And nothing worse than front row people only hearing cymbals if they are standing in front of the house speakers.
