My band just recorded 6 songs at a friends small home studio and we have uploaded them at Soundclick.com.
We are a cross between Misfits/Dead Kennedsy/The Cramps meets Rev Horton Heat and some surf.
Anyway, currently our song "In This Coffin" is #68 out of almost 203,00 songs on the Rock chart and #5 out of nearly 17,000 punk songs (our subgenre).
It would be great if you could stop in and Check out "In This Coffin" and help us move up some spots on the Soundclick charts (whatever that really means).

About the recordings. They were pretty much live, with punch ins for errors, leads etc. Drums and bass were done in 2 hours and our total cost is $320 so far. Might be working on a new mix as well.

Anyway, any song hits would be great. Thank you for taking the time and helping out a noob.

Sounds good man, I have to admit I am new to "punkabilly" You have some cool axes BTW ;)

Over there right now ..... I like it.
Dig that Gretsch sound.

Wow, thanks everyone for the nice comments and taking a few minutes to help us out. Look forward to hanging out here quite a bit in the future.

Yeah the Gretsch is cool for sure. I usually go for a more gritty tone and for some reason the uploaded tunes sound quite a bit more "clean" than the version off the cd. It is growing on me though.
Kinda bizarre its a Line6 huh?

I would not have guessed Line 6.

No shit, but you know what? They do some things really well and probably not alot of people use them for that I guess. I always run 2 amps, the Line 6 for my gritty tone and a Fender Hot Rod Deville 4x10 for the cleans, both on fulltime. I wouldn't say the Line6 is perfect by any means, I still lose single notes sometimes but overall works real well for me so far, until something else comes along that I like.

I use two amps myself most of time myself .... these days that would be my Fryette Sig X and in parallel for crunch and lead one of my THD's ~ Series One Plexi (JMP style amp), Bivalve and Flexi.

I really like the sound of two amps a lot better than one. I like mixing one that is mostly preamp distortion (Sig X) with one that is mostly power amp distortion (THD).

Yeah I have always tried to use 2 amps whenever possible, it's a pain in the ass but sounds so good when you pick 2 totally different amps that do opposite things well. With my metal/punk band I would use a Marshall Jcm900 SLX and Mesa Triple Rec or Mesa .50 Caliber. Pretty fat sound!
