Cool, though they should of put the FX loop in from the start, and price it just under a grand, and they would have more of a winner on hand

too little too late.
and seriously for $1500 why not get a tried and true mesa that's worth a damn?
Mark III/IV anyone???

Now they just need Andy Timmons to do a nice long demo video!

As far as the price goes, it's only $200 more than the Vox AC30 handwired head that's made in China....and is MIA and has a lot more features...

Reverb too! I noticed that last night. Strange looking amp though. It also cuts into the Lonestar Specials market too. Maybe they are going to phase that amp model out then.

Now it just looks like a GIANT lunchbox. More like a catering box.

Why wont this amp be worth a damn? Ah, I recall all of the opposition to the Electra Dyne before it came out. The amp was totally overshadowed by the hype the Mark V caused. Then people tried it and saw its simple versatility -- now, there is a loyal fanbase of ED users, including Road King and Mark converts.

I haven't thought of comparing it to the new Vox AC30 Handwired amps. However, the Mesa Express 5:25 is less money though. When you compare it to the MIC Egnator Rebel 30, new high wattage Tweakers, or Orange Dual terror, the TA-30 is a lot more money. The TA-30 might be worth it, we will see. At least Mesa added some cool features that were not on the TA-15....
