Anybody try this guitar?

I did and it was very cool. The neck is flame maple and sanded down a bit to feel like a charvel or something.

The Floyd was awesome and the new Metal PRS pickups sounded really awesome.

I played this guitar through a JVM 205H on a Friedman 4x12

Just got mine on Wednesday. Really liking it so far.

The metal pickups are great, very pleasantly surprised on them. I've only played it through my Archon, but so far the tones are great. This model has the larger DGT frets as well which makes is a lot easier to play than the stock Custom 24.

I'm looking forward to trying one, although I already have a Custom 24 with the pattern-thin neck.

It looks like a great offering.

This is a long-standing wish list item of a lot of PRS players. I'm sure they'll sell quite a few.

The Floyd looks way better on a PRS than it does on a Les Paul!

Great stuff! Nice to hear that they are great to play!

I'm going to order one next Jan. I've done too many NGD for this year.

One of the guitar players from Between the Buried and Me has been playing one of those for awhile but it was a custom job kinda thing... cool to see them starting to get mass produced, I don't even like floyds and I always thought it was an incredibly sexy guitar...

The video is newer but he's literally had that model for years...

Set neck?
Yes, set neck. Comes standard with a maple neck, ebony board. Only upgrade offered is the top.

Where can I get the best deal on one of these? How much should I expect to pay?

I would also be interested to know this.

thanks! none of the sweetwater ones really look like they have nice tops...i'll ask the other dealers

Looks stunning! How's that compare with say a Suhr Modern sound and feel wise?

Looking around for one of these...why is it that all the tops on these are really bad? Are these like prs rejects for now? (Sweetwater/GC) I can't spend 4k just for a pretty top

Ummmm …. YES PLEASE!!!

That color is very nice, but they put out tops on cheaper guitars that are absolutely stunning that aren't even 10 tops

I like it a lot more than the Modern I owned but full disclosure I am a PRS fan boy. I've never been a huge fan of the Custom 24 but the bigger frets on this one make it more in line with my Ted 245 PRS. The wide/thin neck is still bigger than the Modern neck profile so I also like that a lot but Wide/Fat would have been my first choice. Sound wise, it's great for modern tones. The metal pickups are very warm and fat sounding in this guitar, even single line notes sound very thick at medium gain levels. The split positions are also very usable, not too thin sounding like they tend to be on the Modern. I liked these pickups so much I got another set for my McCarty 58 and they also slay in that guitar.

Played one the other day, Outstanding! Im picking up a PRS this week and it might be the Floyd model. Who knows though, found some real nice ones on clearance that I might go for also
