The new disc isn't bad, but honestly, I've heard much more interesting tracks from the Crue - Generation Swine was much more intriguing as an album - Dr. Feelgood was pretty much their best at nailing the big anthem sound. New Tattoo sounded more like "old crue" than the new disc (even without Tommy). I think Nikki used up most of his great material recently making the Sixx A.M. disc because the songs on Sixx A.M. are much stronger than the tunes on SOLA. The guitar sounds are good, and I am truly surprised it is not a real amp, but I have certainly heard much better tones on recent releases - like the new Disturbed disc as one example - those tones are absolutely killer. Not trying to crap on anyone's parade, but I was really expecting more after reading the reviews.
