I was tired of rebuilding it for gigs where I needed a flanger here, a compressor here, an octave pedal for this gig, etc. Everything I need is there, and the effects sound damn good. Nobody in a club is going to tell the difference in quality. I use the four cable method and run the delays, reverbs, choruses as well as some others through the loop, and the od's, distortions, phase, etc, out of the loop. The interface is also very user-friendly, and its great to be able to download others settings from the Customtones part of their website. I've downloaded a bunch and that really gave me a good starting point. It's really a great unit. I previously had the TC Electronics Nova System. The 4 cable method isn't an option on that which is a shame. They really need to update that, as it really had some great qualities. The HX is much easier to program though, as the TC was a pain in the ass and took a long time to get used to tweaking it.
TC has fallen behind big time in the multi floor effect market. The Nova and G System are in need of make overs.
