I've had mine for about 8 months and I love it. It's eliminated my pedalboard. I was tired of rebuilding it for gigs where I needed a flanger here, a compressor here, an octave pedal for this gig, etc. Everything I need is there, and the effects sound damn good. Nobody in a club is going to tell the difference in quality. I use the four cable method and run the delays, reverbs, choruses as well as some others through the loop, and the od's, distortions, phase, etc, out of the loop. The interface is also very user-friendly, and its great to be able to download others settings from the Customtones part of their website. I've downloaded a bunch and that really gave me a good starting point. It's really a great unit. I previously had the TC Electronics Nova System. The 4 cable method isn't an option on that which is a shame. They really need to update that, as it really had some great qualities. The HX is much easier to program though, as the TC was a pain in the ass and took a long time to get used to tweaking it.

TC has fallen behind big time in the multi floor effect market. The Nova and G System are in need of make overs.

Kinda want one....How is it compared to the FX8 II?

The biggest difference is when you go into settings for a Phase 90 the Fractal will give you 99 settings to tweak for something as simple as a phase 90. Well not 99 but you get the idea. With the HX you go into the settings for the phaser and there a rate and maybe a depth, just like a pedal.

I love having the settings just like real pedals. This was one of the biggest selling points for me. Having the ability to just lean down and tweak an effect's setting without having to push 10 buttons and turn 20 knobs.

I finally got around to at least getting mine on a board! Need to figure out the MIDI to control the Gemini
