Since I've been rather low on funding, I have been building partscasters more often, trying to use up all the parts I have laying about

Bootstrap extra crispys, jag knobs, and an Allen socket screw head jammed in the bridge to make the strings line up ?

Fralin Steel Pole 43 (P90)
Gotoh reliced 15:1 tuners.

Nice! Does a strat neck bolt right up to the tele body? I was thinking the pocket dimensions were a little different.

It doesn't - tele necks generally have a little "overlap" on the fretboard by the heel.

I hate the tele headstock shape, so I hand shape the heel to size.

It's obviously quite a bit of fiddly annoying work, but I really like the aesthetics of the strat neck on a tele (obviously)

I have a DG set from Planet Tone in there! Yeah, I just could not cover that grain. Wish the camera on my phone didn't suck. It's like they look good and as soon as the picture takes/saves, the colors dull and all the sharpness fades. Trash. Anyway, looks even better in person, as usual.

some great guitar making skills up in here, looking good!

I don't have the time nor the skills, so...

I'm still trying to figure out how best to refin the top on cheap Chinese knockoff I bought when the gear fund was low. I got one that had a good top on it, rolled the dice again and lost, got one with a messed up top. I plan to paint the top gloss snow white. I'm 1 and 1 on Chinese knockoffs.

Just happy both guitars play well, feel good, stay in tune, sound good; with a few blems on the "better" one.

Buying either real guitar would be at least $7K each so I can live with these.

Refins aren't difficult as much as time consuming.

I would suggest doing nitro if it's your first refin, it's alot more forgiving
