Never soldered a two conductor pickup before. It is awesome, just solder sleev to the ground and the hot to the first lug...good to go. I was worried about it being too hot of a pickup but even at 22 or whatever it is, sounds good. Much better than the jb.

Congrats! It's my favorite passive pickup; just amazing articulation and the EQ is nice and even. I haven't played a better pickup.

Thanks man. I was worried cuz I have made so many changes lately. Putting all k100s in the cab and changing pup all in one week is a big change

Nice! I had a Peavey B cab from the 80s with K85s...really nice underrated cab. I've read that the K85 and K100 are the same...the 85 always should've been rated at 100.

Congrats! The Iron Man is a fantastic high output pickup. Sounded great in any guitar I tried it in

Yeah. You are the reason I got it. That one long thread about a better jb or something, you talked about the ironman. I have never really strayed from seymour duncan. I absolutely love the 59/custom. Had it in like 6 different guitars. But this pickup is pretty cool. I jsut need to play it at volume.

Killer pickup, one of my favorites. What’s the amp in the clip? It’s got some nice grit and aggression.

I have read the same thing. I believe that the 85s and 100s if not exactly same are close enough for government work. But I really like the speakers.

I’ve got one K85. From what I can tell, it seems to sound similar to the K100 but more raw (probably since it’s an older speaker) and maybe a bit thicker somewhere in the low mids. I like the 85. Something about it’s voicing reminds me of Metallica around the late ‘80’s and early ‘90’s era of them. Not sure why, but I get that vibe somehow from it
