New pickups for my superstrat?

^Cool, thanks. I think those might be a tad hot, I have a feeling I might be better served by a set that splits the difference, output-wise, between those and the "vintage PAF" level of output.

I may be wrong, but I don't think the Super D is hot by today's standards.

The Aldrich may be hot, but it doesn't feel hot. Cleans up really well.

My favorite pickup is the super distortion. I feel like I can roll it back and get a nice grit clean. With that said, the more that I've dug into guys that I like that sound more like your influences, they tend to use medium output pickups. They then use a super 5 way switch, and split the humbuckers into either single coil or parallel in 2 & 4, with three being the inside coils. I've done this on a HH with a JB/59 set and for classic rock and clean sounds, it's amazing. I tend to have to change my od/boost settings a bit higher to compensate, but overall, I can get something similar to the SD.

I've heard great things about this pickup:

The MCP stuff has great definition and seem to clean up pretty well, even my Afwayu can clean up reasonably well. Maybe a Detroiter, I think the output is around 10K? But, I also like the pickups previously mentioned as well. Even the basic JB, Duncan Dist, Custom 59 are really nice sounding pickups in a good guitar. But if you have a crappy toned guitar no pickup will help. Firewood.

Seymour Duncan PATB-3 and PATB-1n. Probably the most versatile pickup set that I have played. They sound great from clean to scream. I have them loaded in my Charvel SoCal, and have been very pleased with them.

The duncan full shred is fantastic for that. Not overly hot at all.
