I found a great guitar guy on LI, The Guitar E.R. He uses and carries these Porter PU's, so after researching, Watching YT vids, I had a set put in my Hendrix Strat.

http://www.porterpickups.com/

I got the 60's set w/ a hotter bridge pu (w/ baseplate) and reverse poles.

The setup on the guitar was amazing enough but these PU's destroy whatever was in there. I consider them toys compared to the Porters. I can finally dial this guitar in with my amps! It used to be anemic.

The Guitar E.R. did an amazing setup on my Ibanez Satriani as well.

Real singles? Stacked?
Congrats. Nothing like a great Stratocaster.

real singles. wanted to stay traditional on the Jimi Strat ;)

I've had CS 69's in my strat forever...love them. How do these stack up?

I always loved the look of the Olympic White Woodstock Strat. What are the stock specifications of that guitar? I'm clueless about all of the Hendrix guitars that Fender has made post-CBS. I don't think there was any official signature model, probably because Janie's a cunt. Any of you guys want to school me on the history of these guitars?

I always thought there was some kind of CS '69 pu's in this guitar, but I think they just stuck in some cheap shit.

I've had CS'69's, had Fralin Woodstocks in a Grosh. Both were great. Comparison, I couldn't say.

All I know is these Porters are handwound, the guy made the bridge pu a bit hotter for me, and did the reverse poles to be correct to this guitar.

I'm seriously thinking of having one of his other single coil sets put in my Trower strat.
