They said 3 weeks for a special order. Got it in one week. Anyway... this thing is hard to put down. I wanted a streakier board, but they couldn't do it without it being a custom order. Don't care. This guitar kinda rules right out of the box.

Wasted no time and installed the Nazgul/Sentient pickups, slapped 12's on it and tuned it to straight C. This tuning works for Sulaco and then i can drop Bb for CHRMR and some Contrarian songs are straight B, so i can use it for those songs too.

Nice!

So you blocked the FR?

Blocked for sure

I am asking because I seriously do not know...why do people have FR's and then block them? Why not just get a hardtail bridge?

I dont think Charvel makes that model without FR actually

It's a good question actually. For one, i only block for pulling up. I prefer the stability of a "decked" trem. Secondly, they don't offer this guitar, with these woods in hardtail form. Also, i like the stability of "block it and lock it" Once the guitar is in tune, i don't have to sit there on stage tuning between songs. Lastly, I'm just not picky when it comes to bridges. I'm mostly a hardtail guy, but only one of my Charvel's is a hardtail. I'll make any situation work for me if i like the guitar. :)

Makes sense to me. I have never been a Floyd guy, but I have been really considering putting together a super strat, and messing with a Floyd. I am going to make a post later, getting some opinions about putting together a frankencaster. In any case, really awesome looking guitar there!

Congrats. Very Cool guitar!!!, considered one of these. Maybe a silly question but I gotta feel safe thinking you'd definitely know.. do the tele bodies sound any thicker/fatter on THIS tele body compared to your other Charvel/strat bodies..

Cool guitar! I sure wish Charvel would offer the DK24 2PT stuff in 22 fret neck versions with the same body shape. I may be in the minority but I tend to prefer the sound of the neck pickup farther forward.

I was expecting a splawn. Saying that you didn't disappoint that is a nice fiddlestick. Lol.
