I been using a Digi Rack 002 and Pro Tools 7.?? since about 2003 when they came out. Finally decided to upgrade lol Got a PC from PC Servers and Parts - they sell refurb pc’s for Pro Tools and gaming. Got the latest Pro Tools Perpetual and the Focusrite 18i16 (but I’ll be using my BAE DMP 1073 pre). Already got some old sessions loaded - works like a champ. Got t-tacks 6 Max, and Slate Trigger loaded. Need EZ drummer 3 (had 2 on my old system). And I might actually dive into some amp plugins, which i haven’t been able to do since avid went aax plugins. I think it was time. With all the new stuff out there I’m looking forward to having some fun and write some new tunes with the new toys :) worlds going to hell and ai will prolly replace us all, but hey let’s have some fun anyway hahahaha

Before you drop the coin on EZdrummer 3, check out Superior Drummer 3, you are able to use your EZD2 packs with it, but it is far more advanced than the EZD series.

oh man I had Superior when it 1st came out. it was a little much for me. Ezdrummer2 actually did all I need, I think ez3 will be ok. I just use it to make demos for my band. I barely scratch the surface of what any of this will do, I use it basically like a tape machine with plugins

For a guitar rig plugin, I recommend giving PolyChromeDSP McRocklin Suite a try; they offer a free trial version to try before buying.

I also like Neural DSP plugins; and BlueCat Audio Axiom. All have free trial versions.

Worth a look IMO.

I have EZ drummer 2 and 3 and also Superior Drummer 3. EzDrummer 3 is a nice upgrade from 2 because of the grid editor, which I prefer using over editing midi in my DAW. It doesn't have as many features as Superior but is nice for a lot of people's needs.
