Just entered the world of Egnater with my new Renegade 112. Played a few gigs with it so far and really like it! I'm still learning and tweaking the controls as I go but don't think it's possible to get a bad sound out of it. My ONLY complaint is how sensitive the Main 2 volume control is. I use it for just a slight bump in volume for solos but find I need it just a hair above the minimum setting. I find it difficult to dial in just a bit of boost, sometimes either too much or not enough, have to be very careful as it seems SO sensitive to me. I usually run Main 1 around 10:00 or so. Anyone have suggestions or work around for this?

One idea: Maybe keep main 1 a little lower, maybe 9 o'clock?

How are you running the channel volume? If you have the channel volume cranked, the masters tend to be a little touchy sometimes.

I find that master II to be VERY sensitive too. It can be difficult to dial in...

I'll pay attention to the channel volume.

thx

Thanks for the replies. I don't run the channel volumes cranked, usually around 1-2 o'clock. I can try backing them down a bit??

It is very possible you just find the master knobs to be too touchy in general, but certainly try backing down your channel volumes and using the master knobs to get your volume. It might feel a little more in control to you.

Tried this yesterday with my channel 2 volume. It was only at 9:00 but the master 2 volume boost was still quite sensitive. The difference between "boost" and "no boost" is a virtually imperseptable turn. Beyond that, it was too much boost.

I don't always use this feature, and it can be dialed in with some skill and light touch. It's nice to know someone else has noticed it though. The volume boost for a feature like that simply doesn't need to double the db output. I simple light boost will do it. Having a limit on it would be a nice improvement, IMO. Or perhaps if I understood it better...;o)

Hi,guys ! Main1 & Main2 are running in parallel. It means that if you run Main1 at max ,you won't get any boost left from Main2 .But if Main1 is at low level, like 9'clock for ex.,Main2 will be VERY loud. So,you must find a balance between them.Try to get Main1 as high as possible if you find Main2 to be too loud/sensitive.It's the opposite of what people use to think..
