Hey fellas... just thought I'd share my newest rig... this is kinda strange for me... as I owned a Mark IV a few years back when I first started getting serious about amps... and tens of thousands of dollars later... I've come full circle... cool and pathetic all at the same time :D

I've loved the idea of having a little 8 space rack case on caster... that houses my ENTIRE rig (minus the cab)... and save for the road case which I am still shopping around for, I finally have that rig (had it with the Axe-FX, but I just couldn't stay away from tube amps).

Amp is a rack mount Mark IV Revision B, it came in last week but FedEx treated it like a football and I had to get a switch and tube replaced in it... nothing major though... amp is currently running a cocktail of preamp tubes, and a combination of Mesa EL-34's and JJ 6L6's in the power section...

I did a TON of research about the external switching capabilities on the Mark IV with a Gmajor... so I figured I should comment a bit on that because I saw TONS of topics without any definitive answer...

If you leave the Mark IV in "Footswitch" mode... but still use the external switching jacks... when none of the channel inputs are engaged then the head "Defaults" to the lead channel... this means that with a simple Y cable... and my GmajorII... I can essentially switch from channel 1, channel 3, and also control the effects loop as well... meaning I can have channel 1 with the effects loop on for my wet clean sounds, a dry clean sound... I can COMPLETELY bypass that Gmajor for my main rhythm tone, and also kick the Gmajor back in for lead tones... since I find channel 2 on a Mark IV completely worthless... this is pretty much perfect for me...

Anyhow, here are a few pictures of the rig... and a pic of the back so you can see how I have the wiring setup... going to do a video some time tomorrow probably... the amp sounds absolutely monstrous...

Congrats on the rig, wouldn't mind doin something similar myself.

Dude that looks sweet. Nice and compact but sounds brutal as hell.

Glad you found your way back to the MKIV. It's an awesome amp.

Congrats on the NRD!!!!

That looks awesome! You spent no time wasted dialing it in to do what you need - super cool

Congrats! Cool and versatile rig with that G major.

I used to find my Rhy2 completely useless as well, which I've posted my feelings on several times here...
I've always known that it was decent for running certain fuzz pedals into, but I got lucky and found a killer combination! Since getting the Mark I've ran a BB+ pre into Rhy2 for a nice crunch and even an alternate lead tone. Add in a DL4 on the tube echo setting after the BB (but cut the delay and just use it for the treble booster type eq) and it sounds like a Colordrive and even an Octavia at times! Happy accident:)
