what you're seeing is the new solderless plug, with the solid copper core of a monorail cable holding up tony's bike in his garage..

Casey, is that BLACK Monorail I am seeing as well? Is that a new offering?

Oh, I need this like yesterday. I am finishing my new rack up and need some cable. So how do we get this ASAP :)

just a black and white pic.

should be available in 2 weeks from distributors..

I was waiting for them to release something.
Curious to see how they compare against the lava solderless/soldered plugs for size and reliability.
As you would expect from evidence, top notch products..just like to see how easy they are to put together, there is definitely a knack to getting the lava ones right.
Anyone used both yet?

Casey , you going to be doing your pedalboards up in these?

I'll stick to soldered connections on the boards I do, but this will probably be an option.
The whole point of solder less is so you don't have to pay a guy like me lol

A lot of thought went into these plugs. I think m people will be pleasantly surprised!

To be fair... that's a really light bike. ;)

To be exact. That's 4mm of copper holding that bike up lol

I was mostly just admiring the bike. So much nicer than my GT Karakoram 1.0

That's just copper cladded steel right? I doubt pure copper would hold even a light bike for long. Plus the expense for pure copper over just needing it on the surface.

the monorail is a solid copper core, like all evidence cables (well except reveal, its stranded, but uses litz wires)

So is it a core inside another metal for strength or is it just copper only?

the inner core is a solid piece of copper:

the shield is copper strands
