I did not like the Winery Dogs at all, or any of Mike Portnoy’s various side projects, but I think this kicks ass and hopefully this one sticks because there is huge potential here. Jeff Scott Soto!? Fuck yes!
I’m not really familiar with Ron Thal’s previous work, but the solos are great and really fit the vibe and song.

Someone turn down Portnoy and turn up Soto. Who mixed this and thought the levels were well balanced?? I thought it was meh, that keyboard sound grates on me. If it ain't old school organ, it loses me. b-

I agree, I liked Winery Dogs very briefly, it got stale quick. Glad to see Portnoy getting a little edgier. Hope the whole album kicks as much ass!

Drums sound fine on my system. Might be time for you to upgrade your speakers...
