Received my BV-30V (V30) and BV-30H (G12H30) from Mojotone today. I'm headed to my friends house to pound them through his JMP. I will give a full review and compare them to the Celestion and WGS counterparts shortly

From what I understand, the Mojos are made by the same people that make the WGS Speakers. I believe that is Jensen, but I could be wrong. Thats kinda what I got fom a few posts over on TGP from Aiken. I have the Mojo Greenbacks in a cab, and I think they sound pretty good.

I thought u were all happy with da Reapers???

I am. But I have three 2x12 cabinets. I'm currently getting a custom amp made and the builder recommended the Mojo's.

These very well might be made by the same people who make WGS. They sound "similar" but they are not identical. I have never tried the WGS 30 watt Reaper so I can't make a comparison there. But the BV-30H so much smoother and fuller sounding than any Anniv. G12H30 I have ever used. And this is right out of the box. They are also darker than my WGS 50 watt Reapers.

The BV-30V is darker than a Vintage 30 and the notorious mid honk is subdued. However, it is not as flat sounding as the WGS Veteran 30. I do like the Veteran 30 but they sound a bit dull on their own IMO. The BV-30V has a bit more "character" for lack of a better word.

Overall, there is not really a drastic difference between the BV-30V and BV-30H............as say comparing a Vintage 30 to a Anniv. G12H30. To sum it up, the BV-30V is the darker of the two and has a touch more mids. And the BV-30H is brighter (but not harsh like a G12H30) and has a fuller low end.

I am very pleased. I would definately choose these (or a pair of the BV-30H's) over my 50 watt Reapers. I wish I had a 30 watt Reaper to compare them to. Could be the same thing
