I didn't read through the whole thread, but I am a bit surprised they are not releasing a Flextone Valve or Vetta Valve amp.

I still think those original Flextones are some of the best sounding modeling amps they've made.

I liked the SV I had. A few things got on my nerves effects wise but sounds like they may have addressed that.

a vetta valve head would be awesome, but probably very expensive as well

the reason I sold mine was because when I would change the patch I would have to go turn vol down then back to where I wanted it and it would be excrutiatingly frikin loud :aww:

They are hiding the info pretty well and have taken down a lot of the ad,s

The things that have been mentioned are that it will have a different look ,it will still have smart effect but the ability to go in and do deep editing to all the effects . Also they will have a few new models in there that are not in other L6 products.

That's about it .If you go to thegear page you can read the 400 post thread .read from the end and back.

There are currently no pictures of the amp ,the ones that were up were not real ,and some of the specs are wrong that were posted ..this is Line6 statement..

It sounds more like a Flextone IMO just using the simple Spider interface

..That is a pain .you have to go through every stinking patch ,reset the volume , and Save as a preset .Once that is done the problem goes away .with 4 presets it is not bad . with 50 it is a pain in the a$$

anybody have more information on a release date for the new SV?

the amp models were pretty good, and damn those amps are loud, but yes, the effects are the fucking biggest pieces of shit i have damn near ever heard.

I was thinking the same thing, but upon reading the specs I noticed that the models would be based on the POD X3. So there you go, amp models that sound better than the spider models.

IMO the Flextone II and III sound much better than the sv I played. But I would still like to hear what they do with the new one.

the SV sounded pretty damn good anyway, so with models from a better preamp, it should in theory sound even better. pretty interesting you think the flextones sounded better. normally line 6 gear is hated on because it's line 6, when there's some great sounding tones out there from the amps.
