So it took me bit, (since I've not owned a hardtail in like, forever), to do a setup. I picked up a radius gauge that helped things along, but with the micro-tilt, there's a little back and forth with that, action, and truss rod, but it now plays spectacular with .010's. Had one or two nut slots that needed opened a bit, but it's now perfect.

However, these wide range pickups SUCK. They are lackluster at best. Bright, no punch, and kinda just bland. I didn't expect them to blow me away from the get-go, so I'm not terribly disappointed. So, I ordered a new pickguard to accommodate traditional sized humbuckers, and I think I'm going to go with a 59/Custom hybrid Trembucker in the bridge, and regular '59 OR Alnico II in the neck. I think the hybrid in the bridge will give me just that - a mix of PAF and more punch/growl. I'm going with a 920D Custom 500K full upgrade kit as well. Why Fender uses 250K for humbuckers is beyond me.

Tuning stability is awesome. I did put Graphtech string trees on it though that I had in a parts box.

I love the color. The neck is nice. Love it! 70's fat headstock is classy AF.
