This is the sub-forum of another member's business, so moving this to the main RT sub-forum.

If you'd like your own sub-forum to promote your business and service your customers, let me know and I'll organise it for you.

You can respond right here.

Welcome to the forum!

All-good mate.

What would you like your sub-forum's title to be - do you have a "proper" way of writing the business name, like "Rare Amp Profiles" or something?

Could it be "Kemper profiles now available at rare-amp.com"?

not being a dick but I don't think this is the best way to join the forum....I understand you have a business but to just join on here and start spamming with your first post is kinda meh. It's pretty much universally frowned on by the peeps here. If my assumptions are incorrect please feel free to let me know.

That’s a fair point. Sorry about making an entrance that way, and sorry if that runs afoul of the rules. I will do my best to make valuable contributions here beyond anything business related.

your fine...I personally like to see some participation on this section just because of the knowledge that a lot of you guys bring to the table.

Can I offer some constructive criticism?
As someone who also has a large amp collection and owned a Kemper at one point, I also thought about selling a few profiles for a couple bucks. While you have some really cool, unique amps, what is the selling point of your profiles?

Let's look at an example page, the Bogner 100A.
$50 for 3 profiles - blue, red, cli.

What speaker cabinet did you use? What microphones, and placement? Are these direct profiles only? What settings did you set on the amp? Do you have any samples of what it sounds like? Are these gainy, clean, scooped, mid heavy, what? We all know that profiling an amp with the controls at "5" and then adjusting via the kemper treble/mid/bass controls is not the same as adjusting on the real thing, which is why many profile packs include the amp profiled at various settings.

Just for perspective, $50 from some of your competitors buys a profile of an amp that includes 200+ files, using 10+ different speaker cabinet and mic combinations, and direct profiles at all different sorts of channels/settings. Sometimes they include profiles boosted with various boutique pedals, and more. Yeah that's choptones but even smaller places you get 20-30+ profiles per pack, and usually cheaper like $15-30.

Quality is always better than Quantity, so if your 3 profiles are miles better than the 200 I get from another seller, I get that. But there's no proof - recordings, samples, etc. plus players have their own preferences - maybe your blue profile is the best I personally have ever heard, but some other player will say it's too dark or too bright, and it won't appeal to them.

I hope I don't sound too harsh. It just doesn't seem like you did much market research on this one. It's not as easy as buying a few expensive amps as I found out myself even, you also need the mics, the cabs, space to store that stuff, and many hours of time to create an appealing profile pack. Maybe you did spend hours tweaking and recording the perfect profile, but your site doesn't give that impression.

Cheers

It's a bit "wordy" and reads like an ad as opposed to a business name IMHO.

I'd suggest "rare-amp-com - Kemper Profiles".

Whaddaya reckon?

I appreciate your criticism. I have a plan for what I'm doing with my site, and am not really interested in what other people are doing. The profiles are a part of the site, but aren't everything. Thanks for taking a look.

Done!

rare-amp-com - Kemper Profiles

I suggest creating an introductory thread and making it a sticky. Copy the contents of your OP in this thread 'cause it's perfect-for-purpose IMHO and paste it into / as the first post in the sticky.

If you need any help with this contact me.
