As a lot of you know I added a Mesa Electra Dyne to my gear recently. I am loving it and it is great to have two separate rigs to use for the band, rehearsals, etc. Anyways, I put together a small pedalboard to accompany the amp. Sounds fantastic! Now I use this rig for certain shows and the Kemper/Atomic CLR wedge for others (depending on venues).

Here is a quick look for anyone that's interested:

Sweet...can't go wrong with that setup. Simple...bet it sounds great too! Mandy? :D

Wah, boost and delay. Minimal and great for rock n roll.
Bet it sounds great!

I love the BB Preamp. My singer has had it on his board for about 6 years. He just has a BB and a DD-5. He has real nice tone!
I had a couple of them and miss them. I'll pick one up again sooner or later.

Nice Chad! I'm loving playing through my amp again...haven't touched my Kemper in a couple of months other than updating it the other day. I plugged into my powered monitor and it didn't sound nearly as good as my amp. I'll probably keep it around for recording.

Big fan of the Electra Dyne. Really nice amps.

Me too. Too bad they didn't catch on as I think it is a killer rock amp.

Thanks Rian! I am going to do a new vid of Mandy with this setup just because you asked. Give me a couple of days and I will post it.

Thanks Dave! It sounds great. I may add a TC Flashback instead of the DD-3 as I played around with one and felt it was easier to make on the fly changes if needed. We shall see.

That's what I wanted: straight forward rock rig. Perfect for the band I'm in and somewhat compact. The ED combo is fairly heavy but I can handle it. The BB is a pretty versatile boost that can be used for a lot of different styles. Pretty happy with it for the past few years.

Thanks Rich! You know, I love both rigs. They both do things well that the other lacks. I don't plan to sell or remove the Kemper/CLR by any means. I love it for the versatility and recording capabilities. I am working on a clip as we speak that I am really liking so far. In fact, I would say the Kemper has made me a better player as it allows me to play anytime i want without bothering my family.

The Electra Dyne rig just sounds awesome! It is the perfect rock rig for me. I will admit that it definitely sounds punchier than my Kemper rig. The effects loop sounds great and I have the amp settings worked out perfectly so that all channels are balanced from a volume perspective. It takes a boost really well and surprisingly sounds great at low volumes although it sounds better with some volume. I was surprised how thick and tight this combo sounds. I have never used a Black Shadow speaker before and I really like it.

I will never participate in a "versus" thread because I like it all. Some shows require us to go 100% direct so I will continue to use the Kemper rig for those. I will use the Electra Dyne for everything else. I love having both and that won't change. In fact, I may just pickup a Mesa Cab Clone just so I can record the ED at home without waking the neighbors. Not a rush as the Kemper is perfect for recording for now.

Not a family shot but had my wife take some pictures recently with her nice camera and lens. Here you go!
