It took a while but I found a mint…really latest version…BE100 for a good price and scooped it up! I found a nice EVH 4x12 cab to go with the amp while it was in transit.
I had band practice at 6 and the amp showed up at 5:45. No time to even unbox without being late…. SO I stashed in in my Studio and ran to practice. Got home late but still got time to get the amp out of the box and set up. Started with the settings right out of the manual. Master way down low because everybody was asleep! Just checked things out to make sure it survived shipping!
Load in Friday I just showed up with the BE100 and the EVH 4x12…the guys were shocked. I thought my bass player was going to have kittens!
While we were sound checking I could hear an issue in the monitors ( issue with how I ran Line out into our mixer ) Drummer kept suggesting I turn all the pedals "OFF"...the third time I looked him in the eye and very slowly said "THERE ARE NO PEDALS ON, THAT IS JUST THE AMP"... he replied "It sounds like that by itsself!?" Bass player, Lead Guitar and me in unison "YES!!!"
LOL!!! I added "That's why I bought it!"
Couldn't get the "line out" sorted trying to run it into our mixer so I rigged a SM57 real quick and solved the problem "old school".
Had a great gig with it… Played the whole gig – 4 hours – 3 sets – never turned on an OD or Amp in a box pedals. Everything from Pink to Zep! Amp worked great!
Oh of course my lead player has to photobomb me!
As you can see we don't have any fun!
