I just got this 2016 Gibson HP Flying V. Features titanium nut and bridge saddles. It has a cut out lower relief for upper fret access, robot tuners, burst bucket III and 57 Classic. Absolutely love this guitar. Right out of the box with factory set up played a 4 hour gig and it played and performed excellent!

I can't upload it. Is there a secret to post it?

I have to host mine on photobucket then direct link hem here.

-curious if the titanium has the same effect that brass does, increased the sustain, but also made the tone brighter, something I didn't/don't like.

It actually is a little darker sounding than my 97 V. It has the 500T ceramic which has a higher end bite with a graphtech nut installed. I am not sure of the robot tuning system yet, butt I will give it a shot before converting to Schaller locking tuners.

don't understand the lower cut away on a V . My V has really easy access all the way up . Don't really see how to make it better .

Nice guitar BTW !!! congrats

Sweet guitar, I had an all white Flying V back in the late 70's I was highly influenced by Michael Schenker back in the day!

How noticeable is the wider fretboard? I've been eyeing these HP models, but am concerned about playability.

Plays just as good as my 97 V. The binding seems to make it play smoother and I didn't notice it being wider. I am not so sure of the robot tuners yet. I have a set of Schaller locking tuners waiting for it.

Are these full size V's or 7/8?
Looks slightly smaller than a pickguard V

Looks nice though

The body is slightly smaller, but the fingerboards are the same
