NGD... again! Ibanez RG Prestige “Weathered Black”

So on a whim I got my fluorescent orange RG about 3.5 months ago and was floored. Then the wife got me the THD 7 last week. Found this guy and couldn’t say “no”. I dig the Fusion Edge pickups in the RGD and even more so on this guitar. This is my first ash guitar as well and through the Henning and Friedman it sounds so damn punchy.

Obviously I need more time with it but man I am floored. I rote Ibanez off 2 decades ago for reasons I can’t even remember. Needless to say, the Prestige stuff has me hooked. Value for dollar they are really hard to beat. These guitars can be had for a steal and all three of mine are super clean condition-wise.

Welcome to the 3127 club! I fucking live mine. Make sure you get the right string gage on there. I struggled with mine for a while but got it all squared away. Oh and I'm not even looking at the black guitar. Last thing I need is right now is another guitar, HAhhahaha!

Thanks! Man I LOVE the RGD! Just used it last night for a vid on one of my Line 6 Helix series vids. It seems some folks don’t like the Fusion humbuckers but they sound great in both my guitars.

Also, I got a set of standard 10 gauge strings but the Low B is a little loose. I am tuning to Eb with the drop Ab on the low b. I may need a hybrid set.

there ya go brotha! black 652 is sick. i want one, but have been looking too for the 652ahm in white. It’s not your first ash though as your Schecter km7 was ash. Ash is nice. warm like mahogany, but a little lighter. i dig ash. I love shredding on my 752ahm, I also love my Peavey HP’s, but there is part of me that knows 24 frets now is more for me since i am tall. just feels a bit more natural. But the Peavey’s would be hard to part with since they are smooth as silk and stay in tune so well it’s ridiculous. just need to add a 652. hahahaha

I am in a bit of a situation though because I really want an Ampete 444 head switcher for the channel but someone just wrecked my car and deductible ate up some of my free money... Do I off the Flourescent Orange RG or just save for the Ampete...

D'oh! LOL! That's right on the KM-7. Interesting that in thieved I just did I noticed the KM was brighter for sure than the RGD. I am definitely in the 24 fret club as of late as well.

What are you tuning to? I believe the guitar ships tuned a full step down. The strings I put on are .10 - .56

What are you tuning to? I believe the guitar ships tuned a full step down. The strings I put on are .10 - .56

Drop A Which is basically standard tuning with just the big string dropped a whole step.

Oh so your going a step bellow me. Dude buy those strings I mentioned. The La Bella HRS 7-String - .010-.064.
Oh and I'm talking about the Rgd with the 26.5 Scale.
