well, decided to go and check out the Proaxe that I found on cl. Had him meet up halfway between us at the manchester ct guitar center. I wanted to trade in my rockerverb anyway so I killed 2 birds with one stone.
First up,Kramer Proaxe, I knew this was coming home with me the second I felt the neck! It was perfect...then I plugged it in! What a monster, I'm sure the Diezel vh4 was helping a bit but this is such an amazing feeling/sounding guitar. It is literally in better shape than "new" stuff hanging on the walls in there. Aside from 2 tiny dings in the headstock it is mint. The guy was the orginal owner,said it was cased most of its life and never gigged. Just had a recent setup and is ready to rock. The only thing not original is the middle single coil, It died and he replaced it with an exact replacement. Non reverse headstock but who cares
And next, decided to drop the rockerverb mk1 bc I was having the common issues with the reverb and effects loop known in them, Thats why they fixed them and released the mk2 versions. Anyways, Im going to pick up a mk2 after the holidays so I needed something to play through until then. Got them to work one of these Yamaha thr10x into the deal plus cash for the orange. I cannot believe how good these little lunch box amps sound. I've owned the axe fx II a couple times and for the money, these little yamahas are jaw dropping.
