I just got this in a trade for a PRS Archon 50 combo. It's my second Caparison, I already have a Horus HGS.

Very nice!! Caparisons are great...is that the snowstorm finish? Congrats!

Woah that is a pretty guitar. I bet it plays just as good. You got the good end of that deal.

oh my god I love this. Killer guitar. I've never played one or seen one in person. What are their necks like?

Same.

Congrats, would love to try one of these or a TAT.

Wow, that’s a great deal. Love that guitar. Big Caparison fan

Also a big Caparison fan over here! Nice score and sweet finish. I’ve been hunting for a fixed bridge Dellinger w/clocks for the last bit but they are impossible to find at a reasonable price

Neck looks a lil chunky...is it similar to a ESP carve?

Wow, nice score. Always wanted to try a Caparison but the chance never came. Someday i will own one with a maple board!!!! I remember dreaming about the Mathias sig, the Applehorn i think it was called? Such a cool looking guitar.

I've had 3 capas during my gas period. A horus HGS MF, dellinger 2 in pro black and a custom tom englund evergrey horus. All 3 of them sounded thin and underwhelming, the dellinger 2 probably sounded the best from the three. When played in standard tuning they sounded very thin and narrow without anything that would make the guitar sound special to me. In drop B the horus HGS slayed. I almost thought about buying the TAT, but seeing how much these capas go new its a big NO for me. Eventually I did not keep any of them for longer than 6 months and all got replaced. Hope you like yours more than i did. :) They do look great though.

Yes, the snowstorm finish, it's so refreshing to have some guitars that aren't black after so many years!

It's a lot of fun, I love the neck. Just the right kind of chunkiness for my hands.

I LOVE my Capa. Congrats!

Thank you! I am not surprised!

What pickups are in it?

They put their own pickups in the guitars, so it's very hard to describe them. These are called PH-F & PH-R.

I can say that the PH-R is one of my favourite pups for downtuning. It's what I have in the Horus HGS tuned to C#.

They are a bit of a shallow C. Definitely not like an Ibanez. They are also Ibanez or ESP-like in terms of the width of the fretboard. The neck joint is excellent, can really get to the higher frets.

You should. I traded used, so I think I was closer to the actual value I'd want to pay for the instrument, but I did that for my Mayones and Strandberg custom shops as well and don't mind slight imperfections since I gig with all my guitars as much as possible.

Yeah, my buddy has been trying to sell it for two or three years now with tonnes of lowball offers. Since he was looking for an amp and it was just sitting there, we agreed on a trade even though his sale post said "no trades"!

I've seen a few of the floating trem Caparisons on Reverb, but really expensive. Very difficult to find them outside of Japan, and their sticker price is also very high.

Oh man that’s sick!!!

Thanks, man! I still think those camo Hanneman's you have are the shizz!

I had an ESP FR-27 just a few months ago, which I sold. I vastly prefer the Caparison, but I can't give any insights into why that is. One thing was that the ESP was painted, which I absolutely hated.

Happy NGD but I’d make sure it’s not stolen.

Nah, my buddy is a standup guy, and I know the guy he bought it from as well. This being Singapore, the chances are 0 per cent it's stolen.

That's surprising, but everybody has different tastes when it comes to tone!

Yes, the HGS definitely slays in low tunings, designed for that.

That's a slick looking guitar. I've never owned a Caparison, but I've always had a thing for the clockface inlays.

Congrats Brother AJ!

Had a Caparison-curiosity thing going on since Mattias switched to using them...

Then you certainly lucked out in the trade, HNCD!!!!!!!
