:D Just arrived yesterday! This guitar really really really plays amazing ! to me this is one of the nicest quality instruments i've ever had in my hands, Carvin does a great job. It's super easy to bend on and shred on! and I'm really glad i went with a rosewood fretboard this time around. All my other carvin guitars are ebony boards, and i do dig the way the ebony feels and sounds but the rosewood is a little warmer sounding for sure. This is the new 24 fret version of the cs6 and it really has fantastic upper fret access, just simply the best out of any other guitar i've played. It's a shred machine! oh and yea... she looks pretty sexy to!

Congrats!!! That is one sweet looking axe!!! Carvin guitars are great guitars especially for the money!!! All they need is swapping out of the pickups for better quality pickups and you are good to go and I see you have been inquiring about the Aldrich pickups!!! I own three Carvins myself and the Bolt+ is still my Fav to play out of all my guitars!!! If I was to buy another Carvin, it would be this one, the CT6, or the CT624!!!

Very nice! My CS has a maple board too where all my others are ebony, it's a nice change.

thanks ! going to go plug her in now .... i'm going to throw my aldrich pickups in , the pickups that come in the guitar aren't terrible. They just dont have that mid rip that im looking for and used to though...

Never owned a Carvin...this had me pricing one out earlier today. Very nice.

thanks guys , I've had some time with this guitar and I have to say it is the most resonant and loudest acoustically out of any other carvin i've ever owned. Really easy to bend on this one, very impessed. The Aldrich pickups going in though this week, the stock pickups are just a bit to vanilla for me.

Beautiful - love the tight flame pattern and the staining is beautiful.

I think the stop tailpiece you have looks nicer than the M bridge and I really appreciate the tip about the Rosewood fingerboard being warmer- thinking of a possible CS3 in Koa or Mahogany or possibly an H-S-H Boltplus to add to my Koa Bolt I have now- I wish they made the Carved Tops in H-S-H....

Do you lose anything from the Rosewood- still just as fast and as much sustain as the Ebony 'board ?- I think I'd like the extra warmth.

Another thing I do with the Nickel Frets is get the string to "ring" or sustain near full volume from finger Vibrato ( even with low gain- even unplugged if I want)-
from friction on the Nickel- can you get this as well on the Carvin Stainless or are they so slick you lose some "ring" ?

I think with the increased technical stuff we are expected to do these days- Carvins will become more popular due to playability ( and craft )- they are very nice for chops stuff.........

Thanks! I prefer the stop tail to, the rosewood seems to have a little bit less of that snap or bite to the attack of the guitar. It feels very similar to me honestly. The carvins play so good and the fret job is so nice that it's really really close. I think the rosewood is warmer sounding in a good way, sustain seems the same to me to. Forget Koa, go for the mahogany neck and body , with a rosewood board, it sounds the best

Not sure on the frets, i only use nickel frets, i prefer them. . . .

If it's loud acoustically- that means it will sustain until Tuesday with a little finger vibrato and also be extremely punchy and dynamic plugged in-sounds like you got a great piece of Mahogany there ! Lucky .....give us a Tone Report after you put the Suhr Pickups in .

I'm gonna be jealous( I LOVE very resonant Guitars ) but I can take it.

Is your Guitar about 8 to 9 pounds - a little heavier than your other Carvins ?
