You can tell by the last pic below I kinda have a hang-up about pickup configs, so I decided to get something in the mix for more versatility. Nabbed this custom shop San Dimas HSS and couldn't be happier! I won't gush about the guitars feel, playability of the neck, overall quality, etc, just leaving at it's the finest playing guitar I've personally ever owned. That said, I've never crossed paths with an Anderson or Suhr so I suppose my palate is weak! ;)

I'm guessing some may not luv the finish. Some will. I like it big time, think it's earthy looking yet also has flair (or, better still, "it's gaudy enough but not too gaudy"  ). It's supposedly a one of a kind finish, think only 3 or 4 have been done with this method, and all are unique variations of it at that. The Floyd is German. The tuners are Schaller. The Duncans are a Custom 5, STK S1N, STK S1N. The neck is ultra refined and smooth, feels like melted butter.

That thing is so ugly I luv it!!! Nice score and 10 on originality!!! Bad ass

Thanks all!! :)

I'll hopefully add a clip in the next few days and bump the thread. I'm gonna do a little bridge pickup comparison with the two Charvels (Pro-mod w/Super Distortion vs the Duncan Custom 5 in the custom shop).

Kind of T/Aish bowling ball / mable finish to me, I dig it and congrats!

Congrats on the guitar!...charvels are always so cool!

I actually LOVE it. That finish is so cool. Never seen anything like it. Congrats!

Looks fantastic, really unique.

How does the quality compare with your pro mod?

That is awesome. Very unique finish.
It's got some serious 60s/ 70s countertop mojo happening. I would rock the f!@# out of that fiddle!
