I have a full Shred in my ESP Horizon. I like it but am mixed at this point as to whether or not it will stay in there.

I have a DK 24 delivering today. Looking forward to NGD and messing with it tomorrow at home 
I got mine used and hopefully it is cool. I tried them at GC last weekend and really dug the necks. I haven't had Charvels for some years now. Used to play the old USA Pro Mods for many years. Been playing Luxxtones the last 3 years.

I love my USA Pro-Mod. I have yet to be wow'd by a MIM Charvel. I need a second one someday.

I'm on the search for black chrome tuners (non-locking too) and a trem tailpiece (which Charvel lists as a "custom" 510 tremolo bridge). The tuners, most anything aftermarket (Gotoh, Sperzel, etc) are locking. I hate locking tuners. Plus finding in black chrome (or even just black) isn't that trivial. The stock ones don't seem to have the little screws that go into the headstock either.

I am a locking tuner hater too. Hipshot and gotoh are my favorites.

Just curious, but what do you guys hate about locking tuners? And, why not just use the locking tuner like a regular tuner?
I don't really have a preference but I find them mostly unnecessary.

I think they are a band aid for quick string changes. I think a good traditional wrap is more stable after the strings are stretched and bedded in.

Nice guitar!! You have been killing me lately. First the Mark IV now the Charvel. Thats like 2 out of 5 of my watch list on reverb.
What is the deal with 250k pots? Ive heard people mention them before but honestly Im clueless.
Im actually a fan of locking tuners. I still give them one or two wraps but overall I really enjoy them.
If/when I finally get a Charvel I think the main modification after pickups for me would be a Stainless refret. Ive gotten used to SS frets and Ive gotten to prefer them over my other guitars without them. After getting my Solar A1.6 with evertune my G.A.S for other guitars is at an all time low except for a Charvel (and the Mayones I have on order.) If they came out with a Pro Mod with SS frets and Evertune I would probably sell a kidney to get it.
