I've actually had it for about a week, but took it to band practice last night and used it for the first time through my Quick Rod. Sounded Good. I'd already changed the Tone Zone out for a Seymour Duncan Custom 5, and I intend to make it HSH with a 5 way switch. I played it on 5-10 songs, and the other guys were telling me the tone was awesome. Then I plugged in my R8 and they had to admit that the Charvel was back in the back seat again which I fully expected, but it sounds great, and it's a different sound that will work extremely well for some stuff we do. Plus the floyd is definitely a nice thing to have.

My son loves it and he's half the reason I bought it, and it's also my wifes favorite color, so overall I'm really happy with it.

Thanks!

I like the neck a lot too. Could be a wee bit thicker for my tastes, but it's well within comfortable range.

They are solid guitars for the money, I really like mine alot after changing the pups and volume pot.

Congrats and your son looks like a natural

cool man! I been jonesin' for one of the Tele styles myself.

Very cool looking guitar!! Floyd's are always fun to have around.

My middle boy was upset when he found out I had sold my Wolfgang a while back as he used to pick it up all the time and strum away on it. I bought him his own little mini Squire strat and now he's happy again.

Nice. I can't decide if I like that one better or the Candy Green. I'd probably go with the Orange simply because that's my favorite color.

Cool. Your son looks like he had a growth spurt in the last year!!!

Almost a foot I think! He turned 12 a couple months ago and is almost 5'6" now. I bet he'll easily catch me in another year or two.

I don't mind the neck pickup too much, it's not too bad. I don't like where the pickup selector is situated though, when you have the bar on, it makes it a PITA to change pickups. I'm changing the pickguard, controls and pickups anyway.

thats a sweet guitar, i would like to get one this year.

How's the gig bag?

I hate Gig bags. I had a hard case from a Jackson fustion that it fits in and I'm keeping it in that. As far as gig bags go, it's a reallynice one, good padding, decent amount of pockets etc, and a good fit for the guitar. I'm planning on using this guitar in my band, and for band practice and I drive an hour there every week or two, and I just don't trust gig bag.

Are the specs on these guitars supposed to be Eastern Maple necks, or is that just what I ended up with? Just curious.

I'm also coming to the conclusion that this is one of the more resonant, and acoustically loud Super Strats I've ever had.
