Hi guys!

This one is way off-spec for me, since I´m a Floyd Rose and HSS kind of guy, but it was so pretty and played so good that I couldn´t resist giving it a whirl. We´ll see if it sticks, but for the price it was an absolute no-brainer and I do like it so far.

It´s a 2010 Charvel, part of a batch of similar builds that went to NAMM. More or less unplayed, dead mint. Mahogany body, thick maple cap in tobacco burst, ebony board, oiled neck, Gotoh tunamatic, Schaller tuners, Duncan JB. Really straight-forward!

Yeah, it actually is pretty awesome! I´ve never owned one of these newer custom Charvels before, and I have to say that the quality rivals anything out there. This one may need a slight touch-up on the fret ends, but that´s more or less a given in these parts.

Thanks! It sure is, but the best part is the feel of the neck. Slim but not skinny and feels really good, almost like there´s no finish to it at all and still smooth as glass.

They sure are, I like this a lot thus far. I´m not missing the Floyd too much either, but I think I´m still so conscious of which guitar I´m playing. We´ll see if I start reaching for the bar more once the novelty wears off a bit and it has settled into the line-up more.
