I'm happy to be a member of the Diezel community!

Need some minor help here.

My Hagen comes with a "Built for UNCLE STEVE" handwriting on the back that I want to remove. No disrespect to whoever "Uncle Steve" is, but since I'm planning to stay with this amp I think it makes sense to erase it if possible. (NOTE: I won't remove Peter Diezel's Signature ;))

Wanted to know if you guys could chime in and give me suggestions on how to safely remove that marker inscription without damaging my finish.

Any ideas?

The orange goo gone works just fine. Use q-tips and don't over saturate or your tolex will peel or take the chassis out of the shell.

Also uncle Steve is stevek on the board

I'll be damned!

I followed the instructions from this tutorial on YouTube:

It... WORKS! It left the finish INTACT.

I did it with axe body spray.

PS: I tried goo gone first and it left everything smudged

Congrats on the Hagen! What cab are you playing it through?

Thanks!

Temporarily running it through my Henning 4x12 cab. Once I sell my Henning cab (and amp) I'll find me a 4x12 frontal Diezel cab.

Hi Steve!

Didn't know it was you until they told me here.

Definitely thought about applying nail polish remover but thought it might ruin the finish.

This axe body spray solution worked like MAGIC.

Aside from that, hope you don't take it personal man, you are a great player and forum member.

Respect.

I have to take a picture of the stuff I use. Might not be called goo gone. It has an orange on the bottle. Worked like a charm when I removed the marker lines I put on a Herbert I had back in the day to mark my settings.

Now your amp smells like a horny 15 year old though :poke:

YES...

I could barely sleep last night from the horrible "manly" odor coming from my Hagen... :aww:
