TL;DR don't sell your shit. Apologies in advance for this extremely long post.

I took a break from guitar. Thought I was done permanently but who was I kidding? I sold everything except an SD1 so I was starting from scratch.

Over the years I've bought and sold many great amps. My top 2 favorites have been a VHT 100CL and the Monomyth modded Origin.

I really missed the VHT/regret selling and they've been harder and harder to get. I have been watching for them somewhat but the OCD in me HAD to have the EQ (even though it sounds just fine and maybe even better without using the EQ).

I just couldn't find a 100CL with eq for a reasonable price but low and behold....

Apex1Rg7X was selling his 50CL at a fair price and I had to. I was weary at first being 50w vs 100w and while I have yet to crank the amp, from what I remember it sounds just the same and I love it. Right back at home.

Before I got the amp I bought a guitar. I wanted a budget guitar this time around and after much consideration I got a Harley Benton Amarok 6. It is a fantastic guitar for the money and I really dont think you can beat it for the price. After my preffered strings, tuning, setup it plays incredibly well. It also sounds killer. So far the only flaws are a tiny little smidge on the QC side regarding the finish and having to tune it. It doesn't go out of tune much, definitely not while playing but after sitting in a case for 2 days I needed to tune it.

Well, of course now that I have an amp I needed a cab. Since I had such a great experience with the guitar I bought a Harley Benton 2x12. It is the vintage cab with V30s for $312 total. Sounds great, I don't care if it's cheap it sounds effing good. I do have a Scumback experiment pending but for now these V30s will suffice.

I'm glad I kept the SD1 because it gives a perfect saturation boost for the CL. I am beyond stoked with this semi budget setup and wanted to share. The only thing left to test is cranking this bitch up with some drums which I plan to do soon.

I've really been thinking about selling most of my stuff lately. Just keep 3-5 guitars, and have 1 amp.

Nice! anyone know why Fryette doesn't make this model anymore?

Awesome. Good job.

Looks good too. Looks tight. Have fun. Consider getting that 212 up on something closer to your gut (ears). Once I did that I found I could hear all the frequencies better.

PS: My cheap ass Schecter hardly goes out of tune at all.

Congrats! I've considered just selling all my stuff a few times over the years.. I've done that twice in the past (decades ago) and regretted it. But it does make sense to pare stuff down.

Enjoy your new rig!

I think they belong on the floor. I only had one other 2x12 and it sounded really bad on anything other than the floor.

Great amp! I had a 50/ST with the graphic. It was the amp that sold me on the pittbull line.
They sound great to me. I had a UL but it was the first run so, not as good as the newer ones.

I did find one for sale currently but the seller was smoking crack for the price he wants. I'd have bought the skeleton key that was for sale instead for that price but I'm happy with the 50CL

Thanks. Honestly out of everything I've ever sold there's only 3 items I really regret selling and I just got one of them back (for the most part. 50cl vs 100CL)
