I haven"t bought a new guitar in years but was really liking the specs on this guitar.
Guitar sounds great and plays great right out of the box. Setup up was good, fret dressing good, neck pocket tight.
Really like the sound of the direct mounted pickups, EVH floyd seems to be holding very well. The EVH floyd is setup up with two springs.
It also came with extra floyd allen bolts if you want to remove the D-tuna.

Really happy with the guitar and recommend it for others checking it out.

i am curious to know your thoughts good, bad, indifferent.

Not a fan of quilted maple 80's superstrats, but looks like a fun instrument

Great looking fiddle. I'm a sucker for those heastocks. Congrats.

So am I. But who'm I kidding... I'm sucker for nearly anything guitars. And amps... :aww:

I'd rock the fuck out of that

Congrats

I love me some quilted maple 80's superstrats.

Congrats! I was very intrigued by these. The basswood holds me back a bit as historically that's been lighter weight than I prefer.

Love to get your thoughts after some time with it. Again, congrats!

...very cleverly, or maybe not as subtly as i think, i left a picture up on my ipad last night for my bride to see :D she's smart, she'll get the hint!

looking at the photos of this 5150 series, it appears the neck and headstock are one piece of lumber.

maybe OP can confirm this?

Very nice!

What are the necks like on these? I've heard they're not as thin as something like a Charvel

I like that 5150 series deluxe guitar with the blue quilted maple top and the hockey stick style super Strat headstock. I see that it has an ebony fingerboard, basswood body, D-Tuna installed on the Floyd Rose bridge, and a neck humbucker, 3 way selector switch. Close to how a Charvel Pro Mod guitar would be configured with some extras. I would have to plug it in and try it out as I was hoping it would have a maple or mahogany body. I'm sure it will be resonant though. It's a throwback to the Kramer 5150 guitars that EVH used to play onstage.

This guitar kicks all sorts of ass through my 2019 Spawn Quickrod! I was hesitant with the MIM but this is a great built guitar.

That thing looks like part Kramer, part Carvin and part MusicMan.

not a fan of the headstock.

so, it's been a couple weeks now... you still digging this axe?? just checking if the honeymoon is going ok ;)
