Walked into the local Best Buy and saw this guy hanging on the wall for about 4 large. Just couldn't pass up that deal. Checked her over to make sure it wasn't damaged (any more than the relicing). Walked out with a giant smile on my face =)

I'll put in a Dimarzio Twang King and a Chopper T once those arrive to really make this guitar rock

I don't see many Teles on here so I thought I'd share.

are they going for 400 at best buy? or was it a holiday sale?

This is not helping my Tele GAS.

Anyway, congrats on the new tele.

It was $408 before tax. The Road Worn Strat was the same price. I saw the price info on another forum. It was not just a holiday sale, probably just a clearance. I don't think any played the one I bought other than me.

fak i need to find out if our local best buys have them!

congrats on a great score. Tele player here, it's my main guitars right now. I love the neck on those Road Worn.
Let us know how the new pickups are working out for you, that's the same config as on the Richie Kotzen Sig Tele, should sound great.

Geese - with the money that you saved, do your self a favor and get a set of Rutters Hot Rod compensated Brass saddles.

They are reeeee-diculous, and add so much more beef, twang, and mids to any tele setup.

Gawd the gas!!! We have like four best buys here. Im gonna check them all tomorrow

Guy who had mine before me did a little work and put in Lollar Firebirds and the compensated saddles. It is my go to recording guitar...does everything...so beast. The neck is an absolute pool cue champ. I always want to bust out the talcum and blue chalk. :-)

My suggestion, do a little buffing to those 9-12 upper frets and do a little relic finishing. Makes it look a thousand times better imo. Dunno what Fender was thinking other than "no one ever uses those frets..."

Thanks for the tips. I will have to look into the compensated saddles.
