aka SG :D I picked up this 2008 Gibson SG Worn Cherry from GC last week for a measly $329!! I wasn't even planning on buying a guitar but it played so well I had to take it home. Polished the frets, cleaned up the nut (the G and the B string actually stay in tune!!), restring and set up; now it plays even better. I'm sorta digging the low-output humbuckers too but not for too long I'm sure ;)

The only beef I had with it are the damn knobs are too close together and there are way too many of them so I replaced the two volume pots with 500k CTS vintage jobs, moved the bridge pu closest to the tailpiece, moved the neck pu to the other end and ditched the tone controls. I also plugged the holes with some carriage bolts and nuts to give it a "finished" appearance. Take a look:

Congrats, that's a nice looking guitar.

I'm a recent Gibson SG owner myself, I got one a weird platinum finish a couple weeks ago.

The SG is indeed a fine guitar. I've never really gelled with Les Pauls but I'm really digging this. I also love the finish or lack there of on the back of the neck. Now, if there is a way to bring some luster out of the body of the guitar  I'm going to set up a test spot on the back to see what a few coats of tung oil will do to it...

That looks great! I dig the simplicity of a nice SG. Congrats man!
