I don't have it yet, but it's in its way. I've been looking for a good 2 x neck guitar, but wanted one as close to a EDS-1275 as possible. This is a 1981 Greco, and appears to be in near mint condition. It looks to be as close to the Jimmy Page model as I've ever seen. ABR bridges, same switch scheme, book headstocks... The necks have volutes which I prefer. I need to put a set of black/silver foil-top knobs on, but that's it. The rear pic of the guitar make the necks look like they have some serious ass on them!

That's cool - Personally, I think that one would look better if both sets of pick-ups had chrome covers, but that's just me...

I always wanted a "real" Gibson model, but don't want to spend that kind of cash for something that would rarely be played.

Nice fiddle

Thanks! I don't like the gold knobs, but that's an easy fix. I use to see Gibson EDS-1275's for like $2500.00 on eBay, but for some reason they recently started shooting up in price?

I paid 2K for my Gibson maybe 4 or 5 years ago...and it's mint. Daddy's Junky Music in Manchester NH, now they're just a memory.

After purchasing the EBMM Axis and the Greco, my fiance' asked loudly; "You purchased three guitars in one week?"

I replied; "For god's sake woman, you can't count one double-neck guitar as two guitars..."

It arrived yesterday! The switching is a bit odd, in the fact that the neck select switch is the one on the bottom horn. The pickup selector is the one in the rear middle of the guitar. I did some research, and found that Jimmy Page has his wired the same way... Some are like mine, others are not. It wasn't changed, as every part is stock, with no evidence of re-solder. The weight is only 11 pounds, and it's perfectly balanced too. No neck dive! I've owned LP's heavier than 11 pounds. The bridges are ABR-1 with the vintage type retainer wire, and the pots appear to be CTS pots. Did CTS make pots in 1981? I ordered a set of silver/black Gibson foil top knobs from SW. I've never seen a 33 year old guitar so close to mint.

 Which model did you get? Please don't say Street Glide... Just kidding! ;)

I just rebuilt my '02 Dyna with 95" w/SE flat-tops, Andrews TW37 cams, and a SE cam plate w/hydraulic tensioners. I wish I would have used a set of .030 head gaskets... The compression is fine, but that added bump would have helped the cams a bit.

My fiance' asked me; "Um... Er... Are you going to be able to put that back together?"

True tone I did get your PM but I do not think I can reply to it until I hit 50 posts, at least I did not see the option to reply.

Only two more to go...

I don't know if I'll keep it or not? I purchased it to get that sympathetic vibration effect you hear on Led Zeppelin and Mad Season recordings.

Always wanted a double neck, but ended up going the Ric 12 string way. I just restrung my ric 360/12 over the weekend, man that is a bear.

Anyway, suprised to hear the double neck Greco doesn't weigh a ton. Is it hard to play due to it being bulky?

I would LOVE to have a Ric 6/12! The last one I saw was priced over $9000.00 USD.

It's an SG body, so it's not bulky at all. I had a 2008 '68 Les Paul Custom CA that weighed only 8.5 lbs. No chambering, just light mahogany. The SGW-1300 is a little different though... The horns aren't beveled like the Gibson. I suppose they had to do something to keep it from being a direct copy, but this didn't save them from Gibson's wrath. Seems the shape of the headstock was the major issue.

Lol, I don't have a ric 6/12, well at least not in one guitar. I have two rics, a 360 6 string and a 360 12 string. Considering how much I use the 12 string, I think it was a good move, over going with the double neck, though yours does look great. :)

Very cool, I had a white 1275 for several years, but the 12 string neck developed a twist that I had heat-treated twice with no positive results.
If you decide to flip it, let me know

The white 1275 is what I wanted, but the prices are just too high now. They use to sell for around $2000.00, then shot-up to $3000.00+! :dunno:

Gibson knobs arrived today. Took a while to set the intonation, but she plays and sounds great! :)
