Holy Moly, I have been looking for an original USA made Spector NS6 for 20 years. I have been doing this along time, been to a million guitar shows and combed every corner of the internet and have never even seen one for sale or in person other than at a Skid Row concert on the Slave to the Grind tour with GnR in 1991 when Scotti Hill was playing one (Jersey Boy).

This was the guitar I lusted after when I was a kid and always wanted after seeing it in the Guitar Player mag back in the day. Then when I saw/heard Scotti Hill playing one and sounding killer I had to have it. This is a little nuts as I have allot of cool guitars and one might think WTF do you want that Floyd Rose guitar.

I was at Outback eating dinner with my wife and daughter about an hour ago when the daily ebay saved searches come up on my iPhone like they always do and I always look at the Spectors and it is always newer basses or once every few years a NS6A Import guitar (the cheap model). Never have I seen the the real USA NS6 pop up and when I saw it was the "White Rhino" for me so to speak I almost spit out my steak.

So anyway I am psyched, it looks a bit dirty and needs to be set up and cleaned but I will do it. Cool belated birthday present to myself.

Brad, congrats! I was the same way with the Brad Gillis sig strat from Fernandes... saw the ads in guitar player back in '85 and never even saw one. Once I got one - all was good in the world. Enjoy your guitar!

Pete

Thats way cool as I can relate to the Holy Grail Search

Right now though the guy that sold is cratching his head going WTF ????

I'd still love to find the light blue-ish grey Warlock from the 1983 catalog. Congrats and enjoy.

Congrats! Let us know what all the switches do. I know they are for the pickups. I am just curious on how it is configured.

Those Spectors, were the only guitars they made in the USA factory in the late 80's, early 90's. They did import some of them though but the imports had black hardware from what i remember. I remember only 2 or 3 guys made those guitars.

Also, i met Scott from SKid Row in a bar one night, early 90's. Very cool down the Earth guy. Zero rockstar attitude.

That's like finding a treasure 20 years in the making. Congrats Brad!
