By no means have I given up on finding my stolen gear, I check all the for sale sites every day and haven't given up hope. But I needed to do something to get my mind off it a little.

So I found this. Bought and paid for. Should have it in my hands next week.

2002 Gibson Explorer Pro (90% body) basically in unplayed, mint condition with the case and candy. This is not one of the GOTW or 2007 series guitars. Supposedly 1 of 200 made for 2002 yr.

That's what I want I like the Dean Black Gold, but I want the smaller body of the Pro model.

If you don't mind the larger body, check out the Dean Black Gold series.

thats cool. relating to the Matthias Jabs pic...gotta say I dont know whats up with his endorsements. In the recent Premeir Guitar mag, he has one picture where he is playing a custom built explorer (non gibson) that looks awesome, then in an advertisement he is show as sponsoring cort and has a signature model strat-type which is completely hideous.

...and not to steal your thread, but I just got back from japan and had about 13 hours on the plane to listen to music in my "ill get to it someday" folder on the Ipod and I gotta say the new scorpions stuff is not bad at all. Much better than I expected and Jabs can still deliver.

Don't give up on finding your old stuff. I just helped a friend get back his vintage San Dimas Charvel that was stolen from a gig in March. Posting his info and pics of his guitar on a forum is exactly what led to that guitars return. It was in HUGE PART due to the guys on the usacharvels forum that found his guitar advertised. Then the Long Beach police detectives set up a meeting with the seller and got him his guitar back. he still hasn't stopped smiling.

Trust me on this, I will never give up. The past two weeks have been nothing but me checking every online selling sight every day. In two more weeks I'll be hitting the pawn shops looking for my stuff.
