I don't have this one yet, but I'm picking it up off a guy over on TGP, he'll be shipping it out tomorrow. I got a 94 Washburn MG122 years ago from a local guy (and a Steve Stevens Washburn too) and have always loved the guitar. I even dig the somewhat chunky baseball bat type neck on it. But the fit and finish on the guitar is very very good in my opinion so I thought I'd go hunting for another USA Washburn from the mid 90s.

This one has some checking in the finish, but I don't mind, I think it adds character. It has my favorite Duncan pickup in the bridge from the factory, so that's pretty awesome. The Schaller Floyd should give me plenty of stability and it'd be good to have another 24 fret neck around to keep in E standard since my other one is in E flat and will make playing those solos with lots of notes and bends in the 20-22 fret range muuuuuch easier....I'm looking at you outro solo to Poison. It's already had a fret level, crown, polish, and full setup done on it, so it should play like butta' after I get it restrung and tuned up.

I love a big neck! It adds more tone in my opinion. Congratulations beautiful guitar hope it plays good and you love it!

Got her in today. It's cold outside so I gave it about an hour to acclimate, but since she already had bunches of finish checking, it wasn't a big deal. She looks good, feels nice, the unfinished feel on the back of the neck should be an interesting feeling to get used to but I dig it. Turns out she's a 92 model, so she's pretty old lol

Ugh, unfortunately, all the saddle lock screws were loosened and all the saddles are as far forward as they can go. That'll make intonating this a breeze lol

Congrats! I've had a few of these USA MGs...decent guitars, Grover Jackson designed when he was hired by Washburn back in 94 I believe. The best sounding one was the one with a Wilkinson trem; but of course that meant it didn't stay in tune very well. But it was a super nice player and sounded great.

My first MG was a 94 M112 with the Wilkinson. A previous owner put the graphite saddles and trees on it. My most solid stable axe if I'm not diving it,

I think I had it in 2015; I was into Charvels and learning Jackson was behind them I bought a few. But I was flipping early and often then, so they didn't last long. Here's an exact copy of what I had; but back then I think I paid 399 lol...
