Got this on a blowout from MF, after I sent back the SL2 Soloist. I gotta say, this guitar is quite impressive, and the quality is MILES ahead of the Indonesian stuff.

Out of the box, it was set up darn near perfect, (minus having .009-.042's), but, I knew I'd need to do a setup, anyway. It even arrived in tune! The neck was perfect. Frets were perfect. Finish was perfect. They even used better screws for the direct-mount pickups, (haha), and the JB/'59's sound massive in this thing! No trem rattle, (though I'm putting in better springs). I never even had to touch the truss rod. Just some cranking on the spring screws to accommodate 010's to level out the bridge, and lowing the action was all it needed, (and intonation tweaked for 010's as well).

It KILLS through the EVH. Again, I'm thoroughly impressed with this Mexican-made shredder. The neck is pretty sweet, as well. Definitely thinner than the SL2, and in the Wizard neck neighborhood. Thin, fast, and comfy! LOVE IT! The Granite Crystal paint job aint too shabby, either!
