This maple neck is SO good!!!

Traded a beloved Charvel for this guy and don't regret it for a second (although I'll miss her...)

Yanked out the white Seymour Duncans and put in the EMG 57tw/66tw set. The 66 isn't wired in yet because I need another cable or two, but the 57tw is a great pickup. Hot as hell, not quite as 'full' as the regular 57 (analogous to the difference between the 85 and 89) but still awesome.

Made in Indonesia, matching headstock, hardtail, light as a feather, and the neck is as thin as a Reservoir Dog tie... everything I've been looking for for a while...

A quick vid, more for the looks, than the playing as I was midway into my first cup of coffee...

Enjoy the pics!!!!!

To hell with that CC Deville special, let’s hear a clip with that sweet Rhoads! :D :D

Dude!

They play very similarly... the neck on my CC reject is a tad wider and flatter (which I LOVE). But the fret work on both is immaculate and the D shape neck is thin and awesome. I'm super impressed with the Dinky...

I’m just half joking with you :) That guitar looks almost exactly like my friend’s Charvel Pro Mod DK24 HH HT purple phaze, which itself is an unbelievably good guitar for the money. Great tone and playing there. I especially liked the muted runs you did

No worries, dude! Yeah, it's my second Jackson, and all my other guitars are Charvels, but the newer DK24 didn't have that Charvel look I was after, so I went hard to the left!

Thanks!

Color looks awesome on that, and sounds like you got a nice player, congrats!!

Nice video too

The color changes dependent upon the sunlight... very 'rich.'

Anyone else got one of these bad boys?

I was ready to pull the trigger on one a while back...at an awesome price...that had sat for a few months...and then, *POOF* - sold. Very good looking guitars, and great players too!

Two more because I can't get enough... love that the bridge pickup is a tad further away from the bridge... gives it a 'quack' or 'spank' similar to some Jake E. Lee stuff... I wouldn't dream of comparing the playing (he's one of my all time favorites up there with Rhoads, Lynch, Demartini, etc...).

Enjoy these and post a pic or three if you have this model as I'd love to see more (even if it's in different colors).

Enjoy!

nice axe. I had the same Rhoads ,early eighties with a real low serial number. I sold it like a jackass.

I have noticed this too. If you want a Strat to sound more like a Les Paul that's bad...but if you want a dual humbucker Strat to retain some Strattiness...it's good.

One of my Super Strats initially disappointed me because I was expecting a more LP-ish tone. Then one day I realized it was exactly what I've wanted in other dual humbucker Strats. Stratttiness retained.

Very sick! Contrats.

Clip those strings off! ;)

Giving me a Sideshow Bob vibe...
