NGD! Jackson PC1

I´ve always been a huge fan of Jackson. I´ve had a ton of them and I still have three killer ones left - and here´s another one! I´ve been wanting one of these for going on twenty years but never got around to buying one... but now I found a monster deal just last week and jumped on it, and I couldn´t be happier.



It was born in september 2006 according to the hangtag, so it´s 10 next month! Nice neck with a bit of heft to it, mahogany body with a quilt top in "Chlorine", flame maple board, Super III in the bridge and a HS2 and a FR Sustainer in middle and neck respectively.



Early impressions is that it will be in heavy rotation, I really dig it so far and it has a huge, chunky tone. Really digging the oiled neck.

Thanks! It looks even better in person, the center of the burst is more of a turquoise than just a lighter shade of blue in real life.

Yeah, they are obviously beauties but play and sound just as good. They are not a typical Jackson in feel, though, the neck carve is fatter and the oil finish gives it a bit different texture too.

I have had a GAS stroke over one of those for a long time. I almost bought one recently but changed my mind. That thing is sick man.

I had one, and the neck was like a baseball bat, but they are cool guitars.

Nice. My SDIV is very similar, but with a Charvel neck profile. Beautiful guitar..congrats!

I didn´t add the dots, but I took them off yesterday. They were done with a tiny marker pen and went away at the slightest hint of sanding.

As for the neck, well, it is a bit more chunky than most but I probably wouldn´t call it a baseball bat. Maybe they´ve changed the carve over the years, who knows. I haven´t played real skinny necks for a long time, either, so maybe I´m just used to slightly thicker ones by now.

I am! It takes a bit of getting used to, though, especially in the harmonic mode. You sort of have to play to it, you know.
