Made buy Schecter Japan. Interestingly, Schecter Japan is a completely autonomous company the Schecters that are sold in the US. These are intended for domestic sale and do not sell in the US because of agreements with Schecter USA.
As you can see, there’s a lot Anderson influence in the design. It even has the 2 strap pins on the bottom. These are made by ESP in Japan, I call them mid tier. Price wise they site between an Edwards and ESPs E-II series
Edwards bodies are CNC fretted and finished in China and assembled and set up in Japan with Japanese parts by Japanese luthiers
E-II’s are made in Japan but more mass produced and lower grade woods
And construction methods compared to custom order or signature ESP models.
I believe the the Schecters to be closer to the E-II. The specs are very similar to the ESP E-II ST1. The main difference is the ESP has Duncans and a Floyd Rose vs the Schecters in house pickups and a Gotoh 1996. While the Schecter is cheaper by several hundred $ as a result, I actually prefer both the pickups and the gotoh
Finally plugged it in this morning. They pickups are really good. It took me a minute to figure out the switching g. The 5 way is pretty standard for an HSH. The switch splits the pickups. What’s interesting is that the middle isn’t a humbucking single, but the switch is more of a coil tap meaning that is taps partially in the coil, like vintage (part coil) vs modern (full coil). Then there a push/pull. This gets interesting in that in pull mode is a low cut making it is a bit less lows and more spank.
