Welcome to the Kemper family!

Thanks man...now, where are all of the hot profiles? :D

Look at my sig... I have cameron atomica, friedman kitchen sink, fortin marshall, and vintage marshall profiles there. The fortins in particular are face melting :)

Pete

I'll definitely check those out tonight...thanks a bunch!

Pete's profiles are top notch. Search author "Juanma Blanco" in the Kemper Exchange for some more great ones.

I found them...cool...I load some tonight.

If you are having issues with profiles being too 'sharp' or not meaty enough you should turn down the clean/distortion sense under the Input function, and then hit the LOCK button. I can't stress this enough.. this tunes the kemper to your guitar/pickup. For me I have the distortion sense way down, about 1/4 (normal is 1/2).

Makes a MASSIVE difference.

How do you determine how much it should be turned down. Aren't the clean sense and distortion sense two different settings?

Yes you can adjust them separately. High output pickups you probably want to turn down the clean sense otherwise yiu will be overloading some of the clean profiles Etc. but they also work as volume balancing. Meaning if you turn up clean sense. As you reduce gain, the clean sense can effect volume of how it sounds. For instance normally hen turning down gain your sound lowers in volume, with clean sense up. This will minimize volume loss as you reduce gain. Same with distortion sense. You can use it to adjust profile volume as you add gain.

But generally for my high output guitars I have them low

Distortion is for gainy profiles, clean is for cleans. What I did was pick an amp profile I am familiar with (JMP 77) and turn the distortion sense down until the amp profile responds like a real JMP 1977 Marshall does. Then lock that parameter and all done.
