I had an Ernie Ball Sabre up for sale a while on here and Craigslist. A local guy reached out off Craigslist and offered a trade for a Les Paul Standard. I have no Les Pauls, and not really a fan of them but figured what the hell, give it a go. I've never owned a Standard, I used to have a Traditional.

Anyway I've had it a few weeks. I'm a super-strat guy and love the way they feel. The LP feels good and plays awesome, still a little bulky for me. But the neck feels great and it sounds amazing. The guitar is loud by itself, it really rings out. It sounds mean and is fun.

The pickups sound badass. The neck has the perfect bell like soloing I love and the bridge is mean and grinds pretty good. Notes are full and sustain.
I took the pickups out to see what they are and it says "BB2" for the Bridge and "Rhy61" for the Neck. I think this means BurstBucker Type 2 for Bridge and BurstBucker Rhythem 61 for the Neck? Is this correct?
Looking at Gibson site I and pretty sure on the Bridge, but not sure on the Neck, I can't actually find a Rhy61 pickup.

Anyway, beautiful top in person, the porn:

Beautiful Lester. I actually like the factory BB2. I do however prefer the Duncan Slash 2.0 in mine by a slight margin. Congrats and love the burst!

Nice!!! That actually looks like my 2019 Standard. What year is that one?

One of the nicest guitars I've ever had. You can be a Strat guy but good to have other tools in the toolbox.

Sweet Paul. Is it a 50's neck or a 60's slim taper?

The guy told me it's a 2020 and serial number starts with 20 so that seems right. The neck is fat, I would imagine it's a 50's it's not slim at all. But it feels good. I'm not sure how to verify though.

Judging by the hardware and knobs it's a 50's and I think that finish was a Sweetwater exclusive as it looks like Honeyburst which is normally on 60's Standards. The post 2019 50's/60's Standards have all been amazing that I have owned and played. Killer tones and playability.

Beautiful LP! Think it's a 50s Standard (due to the tuning machines) with the stock BB2 in the bridge and someone swapped in the Rhy61 from either a 60s LP or an SG.

Sounds about like the C shape. That's what's on my 335. Great carve, pretty much my favorite.. Congrats on a nice guitar stratjacket.

The first number should be a "2" and then fifth number should be a "0". That makes sense it is a 50s neck if it doesn't feel slim. I think I'd like a 50s neck but i'm so used to a 60s neck, lol.

Great looking LP there. Really like that color and top. Fretboard looks really nice, too. Dark and even.
