NGD: Parker Maxxfly DF824 (bye bye other guitars!)

This guitar is amazing! I'm totally blown away by it. I will be selling off some guitars and maybe cancelling some custom builds I have going so I can order a custom 7 string parker.

Playability wise, this thing SMOKES and is easily in the same league as Mayones, J-customs, high end PRS, ViK, Blackmachine, Daemoness, etc... In fact, i would wager that it plays a little bit better.

What really makes me a convert is all the cool engineering they put into the guitar. The guitar is ridiculously thin, and weighs only 5 pounds. Its the contours are off the wall too, very very comfortable.

Some people automatically assume than thin guitars = thin sounding but that is 110% bullshit. This sounds fucking awesome! :evil:

I cant wait to get an order in for the 7 string version!!!!

Does this Fly have the carbon fiber neck? How's the balance? Oh yeah what's the T-bar for, checking the oil levels?

The maxxfly has the special fretboard, the neck is basswood and i think its reinforced with something else too. The T-bar is for adjusting the truss rod, pretty cool tool!



I still need to figure the switching out though lol

Yup! They go crazy cheap on eBay.

You still can't put other pickups into the 7 string one though which is a bit of a let down but I figure I can have the pickup rewound if need be.

i have a couple of late 90's Parkers, a Nitefly and a Classic. I have never had any issues with mine, they have been great guitars.

had my deluxe since the 90's.. still plays like it did when I got it... frets are brand new. Pick up a d-thing drop d tuner and you will love it more
