NGD: Peavey CT

Hey

I snagged a Black CT last year and ever since I wanted to get one with a maple cap...I missed out on some seriously cool axes/great deals, and since they've been discontinued for awhile I was feeling depleted... but today is that day my mission succeeds...I sacrificed my Yngwie Strat to get this, but love this model. Here it is:

Congrats! I've own mine for a year now and am very happy with the way it plays and sounds, great feeling neck. The knobs on your maple top will probably make it easier to grip when coil splitting.

Yeah I own a couple of these Peavey CT guitars and they are favorites of mine for sure. Great comfortable necks!

I have a non trem version of the HP Special CT Custom. Peavey made some very fine guitars, too bad they closed down their Meridian custom shop.

The knobs on your maple top will probably make it easier to grip when coil splitting.

Agreed, the stock knobs on my black one fall off all the time- you can see I just left the tone knob off because it was driving me crazy. The knobs on this cherryburst seem to be a Gibson-type and they are working very well, even with constant flipping for coil taps. I'll need to grab a black set for my other axe. Would Gibson speed knobs work?

Looks like your maple top already has Gibson speed knobs? I was actually thinking of replacing the stock knobs on my HP with some metal knobs with the fixed screws for better grip and a bit smaller so I'm not hitting them when I get a bit rowdy.
