Always wanted a Floyd loaded USA PRS, but they've been unattainable due to budget. Stumbled across this beauty in a local store and couldn't believe the price. It's a fantastic playing guitar with a nice top and a maple board to boot!

I've looking at this for sometime. How is the playability? Do you like the pickups?

I played one of these a bit ago and it was super nice but I thought it was weird that they deliver them in standard when BTBAM is all in C#.

Fast and comfy neck. Very low action without any fret buzz. Very solid and flawless construction. Great tight tone.

Pickups are nice but not quite my thing. They have very cool clean tone capability. Just a bit too smooth under gain for my tastes. I like my bridge pickup to be raw, jagged and mean. And I need the neck pickup to be more juicy. I'm planning to install my Jim Wagner Ceramic Murkat bridge and Godwood neck pickups. I could live with the stock pickups, but yeah it's not 100% the sound I usually go for.

Hope that helps.

I have one of these inbound. Traded for one, thought I would check it out. I have been pretty stoked lately on what PRS has been making. I got a 408 that is flat out vicious when used with high gain, and also gets great cleans with those mini toggles it has. I am excited to play the Waring.

The top looks loke a thin veneer. Is a veneer or a maple top?

I tried one of these at my local retailer back in the summer. Very nice! I really liked it. The maple fretboard and blacked out neck are super comfy! Enjoy!!!

Yeah it is huh. I'll be putting mine in either D or C#. I'll see which suits it better.

Those pickups are awesome, nice score.
Yeah they are cool in their own way. Chunky but clear. And they are very nice for clean tones. Just a bit too polite in the midrange for my tastes. Might try them in a different guitar before I give them the flick.

Pretty confident you are going to love it mate. Super cool guitar. It went straight to #1 in my collection. But I do have a Charvel Custom Shop Koa, and also an Ormsby Floyd superstrat inbound. We'll see how they all compare when they arrive.

It's 5mm around the outside edges, and around 10mm in the centre where the pickups are. Gets up to approx 15mm at fattest part of the body where the lower horn is.

I just set the guitar up with D'Addario 011-049 strings in Drop C, and the pickups came to life. Now I'm totally digging the high-gain tones. And nothing is lost from the clean tones; still just as good as they were with the thinner strings in standard E.

So I've decided to keep the stock Mojotone Tomahawk pickups in the guitar. It's a massive difference the way the Tomahawks respond to thicker strings and detuning. PRS is doing these guitars a huge disservice by setting them up in standard E with 010-046 strings.

Cool, I saw a video on these yesterday and thought I saw a really good price on these new, well if you ave the money that is,but I like that Maple neck and overall kickass guitar.
