i broke down and had to have one of these. pretty fucking cool (fucking awesome for a slayer fan) and plays quite well. best part was the COA signed by the band, all four original members that recorded RiB. i'm going to frame this one up in a display case with the COA and an original pressing of the RiB vinyl.

group shot of the current rotation of gits thrown in at the end for the hell of it.

I don't get why a Slayer Reign In Blood axe wouldn't have a trem on it?

heh, ya, I was thinking that too. Badass anyway, congrats!

Hell Yeah, I want one of those too.....

Fanboy, yes I am. :D

I was poping a boner just yesterday looking at that exact piece online @ DCGL

SWEET!!!

LTD's ARE AMAZING - I own 3 of them and they kick ass!!!

Looks awesome man! I'll be celebrating it in the mosh pit with Slayer tomorrow! rrraaawwwr!

I have to say that is a cool guitar! Usually not a fan of those types of finishes but that is kickass.

Love your tele, too.

Nice score, man! I'm thinking about getting one too. How does it play or is this more for collectors?

I'm not a huge Slayer fan either but, that guitar is stellar.

Same question: collector or player?

thanks for the comments, all!

the guitar was set up right out of the box and ready to play. it needs a few tweaks to get it where i like a guitar, but i honestly didn't play it hard or put any of amount of time on it. i don't want to risk scratching it up since it is a collector/display piece for me. it plays as well as any korean export should be expected, albeit a bit on the lifeless side, i.e., doesn't really resonate all that much.

slayer is just one of those pivotal bands that changed the way i thought about music and my approach to making it much like maiden, malmsteen and fates warning did for me as well. i'm extremely pleased with the piece as a fan of the band.
